CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER

MICHAEL POTTS

Michael Potts_same_size.jpg

Michael Potts is a strategic communications and design leader with more than 25 years of experience shaping mission-driven initiatives at the intersection of civic vision, culture, and long-term stewardship. Trained as an architect, his career has been defined by the ability to translate complex ideas into clear narratives, align diverse stakeholders, and build shared understanding around projects that serve communities over generations.

As founder of M2 Studio / Polycount.io, Michael built a nationally recognized visualization and strategy practice focused on early-stage visioning, public engagement, and decision-making clarity. His work has supported major civic, cultural, and mixed-use developments across the United States and internationally—helping leaders, institutions, and communities see not just what could be built, but why it mattered. These efforts have played a meaningful role in securing funding, land agreements, and public support for projects including Klyde Warren Park, the Alamo Redevelopment, Vitruvian Park, MGM National Harbor, and L.A. Live.

Earlier in his career, Michael contributed to large-scale planning and design teams at HOK and RTKL (now CallisonRTKL), where he worked on complex urban, cultural, and institutional projects. This background instilled a deep appreciation for systems thinking, long-term continuity, and the ethical responsibilities inherent in shaping civic environments.

In his role as Chief Marketing Officer for Solarian Alliance, Michael applies these same principles to mission, message, and movement-building. He focuses on articulating the Alliance’s purpose with clarity and restraint, ensuring that its voice is grounded, credible, and aligned with its values. His work centers on building trust, fostering participation, and communicating the importance of contribution, responsibility, and stewardship in a way that resonates across communities and generations.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Kansas State University. He brings to Solarian Alliance a steady, long-term perspective—committed to building understanding, alignment, and continuity in service of a stronger civic culture.
